Update of forum software 18 January 2011

Hello all,

as per today I have updated the forum software from the old phpbb to phpbb3. What does this mean?

First of all, there are more functions now. The one that I regard to be most important is the option to subscribe to each forum. If a new subject is started you will get an email with a link to the message. In order to subscribe to a forum please proceed as follows:

- Go to the forum
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page
- click on "forum subscribe" in the bottom left hand corner

You now also have an option to attach files including pictures to a message using the options below the window you use to write messages.

There are many more and I leave you to play with the new software. Your user names and password remain unchanged.

I hope you will like the new look. If anything does not work, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will play myself which may lead to some temporary features, so don't worry if initially something might look a bit odd.
