What was the 1950s event like?

Hello everyone,

has anyone been to the 1950s event on Sunday 29 June? If so, what happened at the event?

From the pictures on Richard Lomas' blog, I can see that there were 1950s cars and buses, Rock 'n Roll dance and some stalls. What else happened and did the buses carry passengers?
